The values we share at Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences are embodied in our day-to-day activities and without doubt, the University is underpinned by a dedicated, hardworking and industrious human resource which is called to exhibit ethical, honest behaviour, fair and equal conduct in a safe, healthy workplace. We believe that in such an environment, sound decision-making, effective strategies and cross pollination of ideas flow naturally from the give-and-take of daily business engagements amongst all team members and stakeholders.

About Us
The University’s mandate is to provide undergraduate and post graduate education in Applied Sciences (Engineering, Technology, Health Sciences, Mineral Sciences, Forestry Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences), Agribusiness and Tourism and Hospitality as to contribute to sustainable economic development of Zimbabwe through intensive utilization of land, value addition and beneficiation of the country’s mineral wealth and other natural resources. On its inception, the University commenced with four major faculties namely: Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Applied Science & Technology, Faculty of Agribusiness & Commerce and Faculty of Applied Social Sciences.

To be a research intensive and stakeholder driven university recognised internationally for its quality and relevance in technological innovation, entrepreneurial endeavours, modernisation and industrialisation.

MSUAS aims at being an internationally respected University which provides quality university education, research and training through the creation and utilization of knowledge and to produce graduates who embrace the importance of community service.
Our Story
Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences(MSUAS) was established by the Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe, through Act Chapter 25:31 of 2016. Currently, Currently, MSUAS has 2 campuses namely Fern Hill campus in Mutare and Headlands Campus in Makoni. Taking advantage of the agro and geographical, as well as economic endowments of these locations.
Currently, the University has four faculties namely; FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS MAMAGEMENT , FACULTY OF APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES , FACULTY OF ENGINEERING and FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES & TECHNOLOGY
Faculty of Agribusiness Management houses the following Bachelors degree programmes:
• BSc Agricultural Economics and Development (Hons) Degree,
• BCom Tourism and Hospitality Management (Hons) Degree,
• BCom Accounting (Hons) Degree,
• BCom Business Management (Hons) Degree,
Faculty of Applied Social Sciences houses the following programme
• Psychology (Hons) Degree.
Faculty of Engineering is offering Bachelors of Engineering and Bachelors of Science Honours Degree programmes namely;
• BEng Mining and Mineral Processing (Hons) Degree,
• BEng Chemical and Processing (Hons) Degree, and
• BEng Metallurgy (Hons) Degree,
Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology is offering
• BSc Computer Science (Hons) Degree,
• BSc Information Systems (Hons) Degree, and
• BSc Applied Statistics (Hons) Degree
